FELLOWSHIP COMMISSIONS
FEBC Extensions
Wherever there are sufficient numbers of FEBC churches in a region, they are encouraged to form a regional extension committee.
The primary purpose of an extension committee is to select, plan, initiate and supervise local church planting projects in its area. Each committee will respect policies and guidelines set forth by the Commission on Church Planting while showing consideration for the local culture.
The primary duties of an extension committee are set forth in the job description of an extension committee in the Church Planters Manual.
The bylaws of each extension committee will include the purpose statement above and the duties of an extension committee as outlined in the above-mentioned job description.
In its efforts to stimulate church planting, the Commission on Church Planting will partner with the extension committee in regions where such a committee exists.

- Prairie West Extension Committee serving Alberta and Saskatchewan
- Lakeland Extension Committee serving Manitoba and Ontario
- Heartland Extension Committee serving Nebraska
The FEBC and missions
The Fellowship is committed to world evangelism. Rather than establish its own mission agency, the Fellowship has chosen to encourage members to serve under various established sending agencies. Fellowship churches have historically given very generously to world missions.
History of Fellowship mission activitySince its founding in 1889, the Fellowship has sought to spread the Gospel globally. This was reflected even as the first missionaries were commissioned to India and China and Chicago, Ill. In the early 1900s, Fellowship missionaries with the Congo Inland Mission agency planted many churches in the Congo.

Around 50 Fellowship global partner units minister on every major continent of the world serving in various missionary tasks.
