Commission on Church Planting (CoCP)

The Commission on Church Planting (CoCP) is served by Justin Epp (Chair, Indian Head, SK); ​Jeff Friesen (Hebron, NE); Greg Guarnett (Langham, SK); Justin Klassen (Martensville, SK); Gordon Reimer (Vita, MB).

We are currently overseeing a church plant in Dallas, MB.

The responsibilities of CoCP include:

• Formulate policies, goals, guidelines and strategies for planting FEBC churches in North America.
• Work with regional extension committees in carrying out the church planting projects and programs that have been designed and implemented.
• Ensure that FEBC policies and guidelines are respected in carrying out church planting.
• Encourage and assist in the formation of regional extension committees in areas where such a body does not exist.
• Select and supervise leadership to carry out church planting work in areas without a regional extension committee or mother church.
• Approve pastoral personnel for FEBC church planting projects prior to a call being issued. The Commission on Churches shall examine and recommend such personnel to the delegate body, and assume the responsibility for pastoral discipline, as with all other pastors.
• Recommend the allocation of FEBC funds for church planting activities carried out by the commission, regional extension committees and churches.
