Church seeking Senior Pastor:
Riverbend Bible Church - Dallas, Manitoba

Riverbend Bible Church - Community Profile:
The Riverbend Church is 195 km north of Winnipeg on a paved Road.  It is located in the Dallas/Red Rose community, which is sandwiched between Peguis First Nation and Fisher River Cree Nation. The community of Dallas is a very small farming community, with mixed ethnic groups and about 100 people. Peguis First Nation (south of Dallas) is the largest reserve in Manitoba, with 10,000 people, nice facilities and a variety of small businesses. The Fisher River Cree Nation is just north of Dallas, with a few businesses and almost 2,000 people. The history of Fisher River is commercial fishing.

The local area is largely crown land with a lot of outdoor opportunities. The people are extremely friendly.

Church Profile:
Riverbend Bible church is part of the Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches, which currently provides a Steering Committee to assist the church with leadership.  While the congregation is very small, the church building would seat about 125 people. The church also owns a 3-bedroom manse (parsonage) with a partially finished basement.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who is culturally sensitive and able to work with all ages; a good bible teacher with solid character; someone outgoing, who would be willing to visit people; someone family-oriented with a healthy marriage. The best candidate would be creative and have musical ability.

This position would initially be bi-vocational, with housing and part-time pay provided. The qualified candidate will care for the current church members and join them in sharing the Gospel with the community. He will embrace the current leaders and their families, while also being visible in the community and forming relationships there. He must be willing to work with the leadership of the Steering Committee and the FEBC.
