About us
The people of Kenora Bible Church come from all walks of life but all of them have one thing in common - they have experienced the grace of Jesus Christ in their lives and desire to grow in their relationship with Him.
At Kenora Bible Church, we believe that people grow in their faith in God through worship, fellowship, the Word of God, prayer and ministry (see Acts 2:42).
At KBC, we hope that our worship services give everyone an opportunity to meet with God. We worship in song with both contemporary music and the older, much loved traditional hymns. We hope to provide a worship service in which both younger and older people may fully participate and find helpful to their spiritual growth.
Fellowship is very important to the people at KBC. Our large foyer encourages before and after worship visiting. Once a month we hold potluck lunches following the service. Youth group events, Bible Studies and social events also help our people to connect to each other and to newcomers.
Because our name is Kenora Bible Church, you should expect that the Bible is the primary focus of our ministry. Our pastor strives to bring biblical messages that show how the Word of God is relevant to our daily lives. Bible Studies are on ongoing ministry of the church. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God that teaches us all we need to know for Christian faith and practice (see 2 Timothy 3:16). We believe that it reveals God to us, teaches us how to receive eternal life and shows us how to have a relationship with Him.
Another part of our ministry is prayer. Prayer is always a feature at our worship services and Bible studies. We also have a prayer chain ministry.
Finally, we seek to involve people in ministry. Every believer in Jesus Christ has a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit (see 1 Corinthians 12:7). We encourage our members to find out what that gift is and to use it to build up the church.
